The gem of the collection

We present the Extra Brut version of one of the most important products in our portfolio: the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Millesimato Extra Brut, the real gem of the collection of our Classic Cuvées.

Each product in this line has a style in which the oenologist aims to define a stylistic figure, the synthesis of a precise production philosophy.

They are „classic“ Proseccos, but also open to the most contemporary palates.

Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Millesimato Extra Brut stands out for its full, complex, gastronomic profile, certainly capable of intercepting a sophisticated public, accustomed to prestigious bubbles.

A wine on which a lot of work has been done in the cellar to further move the bar of the quality standard. A real challenge.

New look for Prosecco Superiore DOCG

The packaging of one of the most recognized Prosecco on the market, present on the market since 1991, is renewed: Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry Millesimato“.

The restyling of the iconic „black“ bottle represents the beginning of a rebranding that is affecting the Val d’Oca brand.

A new identity, a new logo: a symbol that expresses the stylization of the fruit setting, a phase in which the bunch is transformed from flower to fruit.
The perfect synthesis to express the evolution of the Val d’Oca brand.

The numbers of the harvest 2022

More than 600 partners, for over a thousand hectares of vineyards. 100% of the grapes harvested by hand, as in the past, even where the disciplinary does not require it and mechanized harvesting would be possible.

These are just some of the numbers of the 2022 harvest: we expect a lot from the wines that will be born, and we can’t wait to let #proseccolovers from all over the world taste them.

The end of the harvest

Val D’Oca has always been a collective company, the center of a dialogue that involves viticulture, humanity and the landscape.

With this spirit, once again this year the harvest took place according to tradition and thanks to the planning of our Agronomist, @Carlo Follador.

As always, the total amount of Glera grapes was harvested by hand, to preserve the integrity of the fruit as much as possible. Creating Prosecco wines of high and superior quality represents the heart of our project.

In terms of quality, the 2022 harvest worked out very well, especially considering the expectations matured in the previous months, which were characterized by high temperatures and drought.

The rains in August were providential and allowed for excellent ripening of the grapes.

The sugar content is very satisfying. The acidity is slightly below the average of the last five years.

The precious grapes harvested in some of the Rive di alta collina and in the Cartizze vineyard have as always benefited from the thermal excursions and breezes coming from the Prealps. All this will favor the acidity of the wines that will be created with the grapes harvested in these areas.

In general, we expect wines with an important structure and a strong expressive power.
